LAS VEGAS TUNNEL PEOPLE

Last and final illustration project for the semester and @CSUN

I watched a very interesting video about individuals on the fringe of society, outcasted and living in the flood tunnels under the city of Las Vegas. Many of these dwellers fully furnish there underground camps with beds, bookshelves, chairs and other found furniture.

RUBY RHOD, from the 1997 film “The Fifth Element”

I LOVED the entire process of working on this piece, from grabbing screenshot references to actual printing. Hands down one of Chris Tucker’s better performances (Though many may disagree).

2012 Spring Illustration Show

I had the opportunity to display a body of work at this semester’s Illustration Show. When it came to arranging the wall, I was given lot freedom. After a suggestion made by Erik, I included a painting installation to accompany my pieces, along with complimenting the overall color-palette of the exhibition as a whole.

First Time Tees :)

Last week, I did my first ever screen print run on t-shirts.

These were pretty much just testers. I was able to get the feel of printing on fabric as opposed to paper, and know now what to expect when I do a second run.

So I’m shooting to do more prints on various sizes (most likely in white/cream/light gray), so if anybody wants one, we can set something up :) Just send me an e-mail —-> jeromyvelasco@yahoo.com
